Ultimate Phone Spy runs on Android phones and tablets, Windows PCs and Mac computers. This page lists the exact versions, permissions and connection details you need, and β just as important β the devices the app does not support.
The Android build installs as a normal application from a download link, so the device needs Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) or newer. That covers essentially every phone manufactured since 2012, including budget handsets from Samsung, Xiaomi, Motorola, Tecno, Infinix and Nokia.
The Windows client supports Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10 and 11 in both 32-bit and 64-bit editions. Installation requires an account with local administrator rights, because the app registers a background service that must start with the system.
On macOS the app supports version 10.12 (Sierra) and newer, including Apple silicon machines running through Rosetta where required. You will need to approve the app in System Settings under Privacy & Security the first time it runs, and grant Full Disk Access so it can read the data it is licensed to collect.
Ultimate Phone Spy does not install on iPhone or iPad. Apple does not permit third-party applications to read messages, call logs or other apps on a device, so any service that promises silent iPhone monitoring without a jailbreak, an Apple ID and password, or physical access is describing something iOS cannot do. If you need iPhone visibility, the honest options are Apple's own Family Sharing and Screen Time tools, or a service that requires the Apple ID credentials and works only with iCloud backups.
Chromebooks, Linux desktops, Windows phones and smart TVs are not supported either. The dashboard itself runs in any modern browser, so you can view data from any device even when the monitored device is not one of the supported platforms.
Data is uploaded to your account and read through a browser-based dashboard. You need a current version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari and an internet connection; nothing has to be installed on the computer or phone you use to check in. Uploads use HTTPS, and the app needs a working data connection β a device left in airplane mode will queue data locally until it reconnects.
Install only on a device you own, on a device issued to you by your employer with written permission, or on the phone of a minor child in your care. The person using the device must be informed that monitoring is active, and in most jurisdictions their consent has to be explicit. Installing this software on an adult's phone without their knowledge is illegal in the United States, the United Kingdom, the European Union and most other countries, and it is not a use we support.
No. The app supports Android, Windows and macOS only. iOS does not allow third-party apps to read messages or app data from another phone, so we do not sell an iPhone product and do not claim one works.
No. Calls, SMS, location, web history, photos and screen captures work on a standard, unrooted device. Rooting is only needed if you want the deepest capture from certain messaging apps, and it voids some warranties β it is optional.
Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). In practice Android 9 or newer gives the most reliable background operation, because newer versions of Android restrict background services more aggressively.
Yes, on Android tablets running 4.0 or newer. iPads are not supported for the same reason iPhones are not.
Typical overhead is small: the app runs as a background service and uploads on a schedule. On very old hardware with under 2 GB of RAM you may notice slightly shorter battery life.
No. The app only needs outbound internet access. It works over mobile data, home Wi-Fi, and corporate networks that allow HTTPS traffic.
