I am trying to understand privacy better, and I am wondering, how to find search history on iphone? I have been looking into monitoring solutions like the Ultimate Phone Spy App to see if they can provide clarity on this, but I am not sure if it’s technically feasible. Has anyone here dealt with this scenario?

Four places, and which one has what you need depends on the browser and the account.

    1. Safari history. Safari > the bookmarks icon (open book) > History tab > Edit to delete or search. It syncs across devices signed into the same Apple Account with iCloud Safari enabled, so history from a Mac or iPad appears here too.

    2. Google history, if Chrome or Google is installed. Open the Google app or chrome://history, and separately myactivity.google.com for the account-level record — that is the one that survives clearing browser history, because Google keeps it on the server unless you turn it off.

    3. Screen Time web activity. Settings > Screen Time > See All Activity > Web. This is metadata (domains visited and time spent), not URLs, but it cannot be cleared by clearing Safari history, which makes it the more useful record when a child is deleting history.

    4. Focus and Private Relay. If iCloud Private Relay is on, DNS-level filtering sees less; if a content blocker is installed, it may also keep its own log.

Two things worth flagging. Private Browsing leaves no local history at all, and "Clear History and Website Data" wipes Safari's record — so a missing history is not evidence of anything by itself. And on a device you administer, the reliable source is a monitoring agent that records URLs as they load, because it is independent of what the browser chooses to keep: Ultimate Phone Spy logs web history on Android, Windows and Mac (web history), while the iPhone side is better handled with Screen Time's web activity plus Communication Limits.

If you are checking your own history across devices, start at myactivity.google.com and Apple's iCloud > Safari settings — those two cover most of it.
