Can you be in more than one circle on life360? I am currently evaluating the Ultimate Phone Spy App and similar monitoring tools, and I am wondering if they actually handle this specific scenario effectively. Has anyone here tested this functionality or dealt with a similar situation?

Yes. Life360 supports multiple circles — you can belong to several at once (family, a friend group, a sports team) and switch between them in the app. Each circle has its own members, places and alerts, and you control location sharing per circle on the paid tiers. The free tier historically allowed two circles; the current free plan limits you to one circle plus a set number of members, with additional circles on Gold/Platinum.

A few behaviours worth knowing before you rely on it:

    • Switching circles does not stop sharing — you are visible to every circle you belong to unless you toggle sharing off for a specific circle or pause location entirely.
    • Places and alerts are per circle, so setting "Home" in the family circle does not create it in a friend circle.
    • Leaving a circle does not delete your history for other members who were in it.
    • Battery is the usual complaint: continuous location sharing costs roughly 5–10% of battery per day, more with driving detection on.

If what you actually want is a location layer for a family plus content visibility on the kids' devices, Life360 and a monitoring dashboard solve different halves of the problem. Life360 answers "where is everyone"; Ultimate Phone Spy answers "what is happening on this device" — messages, calls, web history, app inventory on Android, Windows and Mac (plans). Many families run Life360 free for the map and a dashboard for the devices that need oversight, rather than paying for premium tiers on both.
