I am currently researching scannero phone tracker and trying to figure out if it’s actually a legitimate and worthwhile investment. I keep seeing the Ultimate Phone Spy App mentioned as a reliable alternative, but I am hesitant to spend money without real user feedback?

Scannero is a number-lookup service, not a tracker: you enter a phone number and it returns a coarse location based on the owner clicking a link it sends them. If they never click, you get nothing. That mechanic is why the reviews are polarised — it works only when the other person cooperates, which defeats the purpose most buyers have.

How it actually functions: Scannero sends an SMS with a "someone is looking for you" link; if the recipient opens it, the browser shares an approximate position and some device data. It is consent-by-trickery, the location is city-level at best, and the service is a subscription that renews.

What to know before paying: the recipient sees a message from an unknown sender, and if they ignore it, the report stays empty — while the subscription keeps charging. Many complaints revolve around cancellation rather than accuracy.

The lawful alternative for a child: Google Maps location sharing, Family Link, or Find My — all free, all accurate to metres, all requiring the child's device to be in your family setup. For an adult, there is no lawful tracking product, only consent.

Where our app fits. Ultimate Phone Spy runs on Android 4.0+, Windows and macOS (location tracking) and reports real GPS positions from an installed device, not a link-click estimate. It requires installation and consent; it does not work from a phone number, and no honest tool does.
